Washington State Library Circulating STEAM Kits
Supported by funding provided by the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services administered by the Library Services and Technology Act, through the Washington State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.

The Washington State Library has partnered with the Seattle Universal Math Museum (SUMM) to develop math-based activities and games this year. They have provided instructions and curriculum to start, but teachers are encouraged to go beyond what's included. From practicing math concepts critical thinking to designing using math principles, students will be encouraged to engage in fun and creative ways with these games, puzzles, and activities.
The kit includes:
Painted Cube Dilemma activity
Fraction Tiles game
Weaving
The Art of Circles activity
Polygon Dissection puzzle
Mathemagical World game

Kits will stay at a library for three weeks, then they must be sent to the next location.
If you are hoping to send this kit between locations in your district using internal mail and need it for more than three weeks, please email STEAM@sos.wa.gov, and we will see if we can accommodate your booking.
